Disturbing sexism, misogyny, discrimination, hate, and abuse plague women's football worldwide. The persistence of outdated attitudes towards women's football is shocking.
Every day, female players face derogatory comments, sexualized insults, homophobia, body shaming, gender discrimination, and even death threats online and in person. These attacks come from fans, coaches, managers, and fellow players, tainting environments meant for growth and competition.
Football is not solely for men. Women have an equal right to participate as players, coaches, officials, or commentators without facing ridicule, objectification, or being ignored. It's time for collective action from everyone involved - players, coaches, managers, fans, and sponsors. We aim to build a welcoming, safe, and equal environment where no woman in football endures mistreatment via the #NoFoulPlay campaign.
#NoFoulPlay Shield: Empowering Women's Football
The #NoFoulPlay Shield is a prestigious women's football tournament, a flagship initiative of the Kemp Excellence Foundation. Designed to create a vital platform for aspiring female footballers, it provides opportunities for players from corporates, clubs, academies, and schools to compete through the year.
What sets this tournament apart is its unique trophy: a custom-designed shield by renowned designer Sangeet Samuel.
This symbol of protection, power, and confidence embodies the tournament's commitment to empowering women in sports. The #NoFoulPlay Shield is more than just a trophy; it's a testament to dedication and a coveted prize that stands proudly in the displays of winning organizations.
